Tides ~ The Past

History

At the heart of BADA is Hun Chung Lee, a Seoul-born artist internationally recognized for his ceramic art. Celebrated for his mastery of 15th-century Korean celadon glazing techniques, Hun Chung has long reimagined ancient traditions through a contemporary lens—blending sculpture and function into works that are both timeless and modern. His large-scale ceramic pieces, collected and exhibited by museums around the world.

People and culture

BADA Design/Atelier was first founded in Seoul, Korea: a brand devoted to creating functional art pieces that carry both practical use and artistic value, bridging beauty with everyday life. With two distinct lines—Atelier, rooted in the touch of traditional craftsmanship, and Design, breaking boundaries between craft, art, and function—it began as a dialogue between heritage and innovation, offering objects meant not only to be admired, but to be lived with.
